Our community is located in scenic Portsmouth, Virginia, part of the rich cultural and historic region known as Hampton Roads. Nestled in an established residential neighborhood, Ansell Gardens has 80 spacious and modern two-bedroom homes, some with optional dens. Each of our homes feature updated fixtures, lighting, appliances, and HVAC systems. Our residents appreciate saving energy dollars every month by having water, sewer, and sanitation included in the monthly rent.
Another popular feature is the Ansell Gardens Community Center, where our residents can participate in many free service programs. We have a computer lab, workshops relating to homeownership and financial literacy, after-school, and summer youth programs and more. Our friendly and professional staff takes pride in providing outstanding services to our residents – the proof is in the fact that more than half of our residents have lived at our community for 10 years or longer!
Ansell Gardens is an affordable community. That means that many of our residents, both individuals and families, have a household income at about 60% of the area average.
