The holidays are a time to create joy in the lives of others. But with an abundance of opportunities to support children with toys and goodies for under the tree, our seniors are often left out.
Many seniors living in CHP’s communities struggle daily to meet their basic needs, so this giving season, we worked to ensure their wishes were granted. Through the CHP Warm Wishes program, we are providing Warm Wishes gift bags, valued at around $30, to senior residents ages 55 and up at more than 20 CHP rental communities in Virginia.
Thanks to your generosity, we reached our donation goal and will be delivering these thoughtful gifts to residents throughout December. Your support has helped make 2024 a special holiday season for our senior residents. Thank you!

Adopt & Shop
Sign up to become a Warm Wishes giver to adopt and shop for one or more of our seniors. You buy the gifts from a wish list, and we will deliver them. We have now completed Adopt & Shop sign-ups for 2024. Thank you for your support.
Give on Someone’s Behalf
Want to give a Warm Wish on someone else’s behalf? We can mail a certificate showing that you gave in their name. This can also be to honor or remember a loved one. Contact us for details.
CHP has 858 seniors who are eligible for this program, but not all of them choose to participate. We believe our program is unique because, while many other organizations raise money for children’s gifts during the holidays, few of them go towards the senior population.
CHP not only offers desirable, economical homes to own or rent, but also encourages personal and community success through supportive services and programming. CHP Housing Services includes Asset Management, Homeownership, Property Management, and Resident Services.
