Tamika Black is the Resident Services Senior Services Supervisor. In this role, Tamika works alongside Sally Cooke to provide supervision and direction to the Resident Services Coordinators that support our Senior and Special Needs population. Additionally, Tamika collaborates with other Resident Services leaders to support meeting strategic goals that are pivotal in maximizing the services that benefit our residents. Tamika contributes to Resident Services through producing and encouraging innovative ideas, provoking change, empowering productivity, and efficiency that supports the improvement of our resident’s quality of life. Tamika has developed a host of skills and passion through extensive studies in Psychology and Social Work and being an advocate for those living with Mental illness, battling homelessness, and navigating substance use management. Early on, Tamika noticed a disparity within low-income family’s ability to obtain necessary and valuable services and has worked in many different avenues to provide education, support, and advocacy imperative to improving the gap within an underrepresented population.
From our roots as a volunteer organization serving housing needs in Appalachia, CHP has grown into a multi-state organization nationally recognized for our capabilities and commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. Although CHP’s footprint has greatly expanded over the decades, our mission continues to focus on creating homes and communities that are healthy, sustainable, and affordable.
